From Club President – Holger Philipp
Across our club the wellbeing of our Athletes and Members is our top priority. In light of the current Coronavirus situation, we are taking action, and following the best advice from experts and the Department of Health. We are in regular communication with them to keep you up to date.
So how does this impact you?
The Federal Government has extended Its Coronavirus travel ban for travelers from Italy, South Korea, Iran and China now for another week as the number of Australian cases continues to rise.
In accordance with the Federal Department of Health, anyone who has recently traveled to or transitioned through Italy, South Korea, Iran, and China for personal reasons must inform the Executive Committee and stay at home during the first 14 days after arrival. After this 14-day period, if you do not exhibit any coronavirus COVID-19 symptoms, you may return to normal activities.
If you are sick or show symptoms (cough or fever), please do not attend events and notify an Executive Committee member and seek prompt medical attention.
In the interim please take additional care with hygiene etiquette:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• Use hand sanitizer
• Don’t touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
• Cough/sneeze into your elbow, not your hand
In the event of school closures and alike, please remain at home for a minimum of 3 days, undertake relevant medical tests, and only return with a fit for work certificate issued by a GP.

Please be aware we are also discussing the remaining season events, AGM and Presentation Day and how best to move forward with those. Further information will be sent In due course.
Whilst this is an unsettling time, let’s help each other by following these simple protocols to minimise risk to all. For any further questions or concerns please speak directly with an Executive Committee member.
